NARR Training
These free training modules, provided by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), are available to anyone in Missouri thanks to funding agreements with public agencies like the MO Department of Mental Health or Iowa Dept. of Public Health,. While organizations can register multiple participants, individuals using the training system must create their own accounts.
Each module will walk you through a specific topic of interest to recovery housing best practices. Covering topics like the social model of recovery and NARR recovery housing standards 3.0, these modules help in developing printable policies and procedures journals for housing programs. Whether you’re seeking accreditation or considering becoming a recovery housing provider, these modules will serve as a valuable resource for you and your staff.
The first 20 modules provided by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) cover various topics relevant to recovery housing, including the social model of recovery. These modules guide you in developing your own policies and procedures for your housing program. Each module typically takes one to two hours to complete and includes a short quiz at the end. Please note that you have up to four attempts to complete each quiz before being locked out, requiring an administrator to reset the module. Therefore, it’s essential to thoroughly review the material, watch the videos, and complete the accompanying journal as you go to complete the quiz successfully.
Upon completing each quiz, you will receive a printable certificate. Additionally, each completed module has been approved for 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) through the Missouri Credentialing Board (MCB).
